It was then I heard this 'c' word on the T.V. My dad had switched on the box to get some current updates, and I find the person opposing the government and fighting for a corruption free India(if only that could happen)
*beep*I read the sms from my friend. there he is! WHOA! The 'C' word.
Something that I don't quite understand is why are people so obsessed over this 'C' word.
Corruption is not something new in our country and abruptly when an 'old man' starts protesting everybody joins him?! And there are strikes,"bhook hadthals"(hunger strike)...only to go to jail as expected.
Facebook statuses, Twitter updates... you find them everywhere! and it is so very annoying!
The melodrama created by the whole "protest" thing is such that people who switch on the television only to watch soap operas have started watching news channels!
All this fasting stuff is good only to an extent. I am not against all this but how does it help.
When the whole country's attention is on this one person(the "protester") and they are helping him, where are the people who are responsible for this "corruption"?
Doing their job as usual or are they taking part too?!
They are making a 'JOKPAL' over the Lokpal.
But yeah the sudden realisation of this 'C' word has done something good after all. Kudos at least now they protest rather than bearing it. Even young people who follow the HOME- COLLEGE - NIGHT CLUB schedule are finding time for this.
Oh I forgot!!
He took my sleep away. I open the book to prepare for my test.
Next day, in the exam hall the teacher distributes the question paper.
There he is! AGAIN!!
In the last page, under the last subdivision, the second question - THE 'C' WORD!
The teacher had asked me to write an essay on it :|
Only a dream? |
